Falkirk
FC girls have had a busy summer participating in tournaments
north and south of the border.
The
girls managed to excel in Keele, Manchester with the Under 10's
and u11's finishing 1st and 2nd in a league format of 7 teams,
the girls: Claire, Fern, Amy, Erin H, Erin M, Grace, Katia,
Kimberly, Leah, Megan G and Megan F, managed to score 40 goals
between them.
The
Under 12's Futures and u13's each finished 3rd in their
respective leagues. Hannah, Blair, Chloe, Erin, Kirsten, Lowenna,
Lauren and Taylor represented the 13's and the Futures played
with Leia, Eilidh, Chelsea, Grace, Dionne, Catrina, Kaitlyn and
Heather.
The
17's battled their way to success beating the Welsh select team
CYP in the final 1-0, the 17's also topped their group qualifier
conceding 2 goals throughout their week stay. Kelly, Kari, Amy,
Natalie, Claire, Steph, Sharon, Shona, Nicky, Connie, Imo,
Debbie, Fiona, Rachel, Brogan, Shannen and Jemma were the
delighted winning players.
The
seniors got off to a poor start however flourished in the plate
competition where the ran out winners in a close final against
Salford Ladies. Natalie, Amy, Imo, Vicki, Shirley, Jennifer,
Rachel, Adele, Maxine, Kerry, Megan, Karen, Louise, Cheryl and
Brogan all pulled on the navy blue.
Our Girls Player Pathway
At Falkirk FC Girls, Kickz is the first part of a wider
development programme for female players that meets the needs of
young female footballers from 3 years old right through to elite
open age football.
This pathway includes:
· Falkirk Girls' Mini -Kickz (3 - 5)
· Falkirk Girls' Junior -Kickz (5 – 8)
· Falkirk Girls' Community (8 plus)
· Falkirk Girls' and Futures (U10,U12)
· Falkirk Girls’ Academy (13 -17)
· Falkirk First Team Squad (16+)
