Falkirk in the Community In Partnership with the Glasgow East Regeneration Agency deliver a football coaching and small sided games programme in the East End of Glasgow. 

Funded by GERA and the Community Planning Partnership the project has been a huge success with many local youngsters enjoying the football sessions and travelling through to watch a Falkirk FC home match

The programme is now in its 3rd year and over 500 young people have been involved in the project.

Falkirk in the Community Coaches attends sessions on a Tuesday and Friday evenings at Stepford Park, Easterhouse, Glasgow and the East End Healthy Living Centre, Bridgeton, Glasgow. Classes are open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 – 14 years old.

As well as Coaching in the Community, the existing programme also includes our match day experience. 50 different local young people and their parents / guardians from youth groups / football teams / primary schools are invited through to watch a Falkirk FC home match and other activities which include:

  • Healthy living talk from Falkirk Academy staff

  • Pre match small sided games

  • Juice and snacks

  • Tour of the Falkirk Stadium

  • Ticket for the match

  • Gift from Falkirk FC

Falkirk FC provide 50 match tickets to the GERA project and over 400 parents / children and helpers have enjoyed the Falkirk Experience this season.

The feedback from the participants who have enjoyed all the Falkirk activities has been positive and always desperate to hurry back for more.
