What got you involved in volunteering?
My son was
training and playing each week, and I was there to watch. When asked if
I could help out to cover, in case the real coach was absent, I was
happy to help.
What has been your most positive experience as a volunteer?
Watching
the team play well and getting the rewards their effort deserves.
How important is volunteering to your club?
I guess it
makes it easier for the boys to have a familiar, if grumpy, face, when
Keiran cant make it. Worst case, I suppose, is that there's no game,
which wouldn't go down well with the players.
What is so special about being involved with Falkirk in the Community?
Watching
the players enjoy their football, while they improve their skills,
stamina, concentration, and temperament
What support do you receive from Falkirk in the Community?
A feeling
of camaraderie, first and foremost, with my own coach, and any of the
others I have met. I am also invited to the Coerver and FVFDA coaching
sessions, which will hopefully improve my input
How can any new players join your Club?
Not sure,
I guess by contacting either Tom Elliot, Richard Fox, or Keiran Martin
What do you like to do with your spare time?
I play
football, not that you'd know, play golf, again not that you'd know, and
go to see Motherwell.
